Rita has been a member of Chatham Artists Guide since 2007 and has served on its board.
Each of her paintings seeks a direction of its own. One day her work is influenced by the overriding mood of the scene, another day calls for bold palette knife strokes, and still another calls for large and loose brush strokes that create a dreamlike softness. She is especially drawn to vanishing points in rural areas, remote coastal and river locations, creatures of the wild, flowers, and more recently a collection of the figure in landscape.
