Are you a passionate 2D or 3D artist looking to showcase your work in a collaborative and supportive environment? We are thrilled to announce an open call for artists to join our cooperative art gallery.

WHO WE ARE: Our cooperative art gallery is a vibrant community of local artists dedicated to promoting creativity and artistic expression. We provide a platform for emerging and established artists to exhibit and sell their artwork while fostering connections within the artistic community. Join us in celebrating creativity and collaboration.

WHAT WE OFFER:

- Exhibition Opportunities: Showcase your artwork in our gallery space, allowing you to reach a diverse audience of art enthusiasts.

- Networking and Collaboration: Connect with fellow artists, share ideas, and collaborate on projects to enhance your artistic practice.

- Marketing and Promotion: Benefit from our marketing efforts to promote gallery events and exhibitions, helping to increase visibility for your work.

- Sales Support: Receive assistance with sales transactions, allowing you to focus on creating art while we handle the logistics.

HOW TO APPLY:

If you’re interested in joining our cooperative art gallery, we invite you to submit your application. Please include the following:

1. Artist Statement: Introduce yourself and provide insights into your artistic practice, inspirations, and goals.

2. Portfolio: Share examples of your artwork, including both 2D and 3D pieces. Images should be high-quality and representative of your style and technique.

3. Resume: Highlight relevant education, exhibitions, awards, and professional experience.

4. Contact Information: Provide your name, email address, phone number, and any social media handles or website links.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

April 15

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

1. Membership: To become a shareholder, pay a one-time, non refundable, buy in fee of $300.00.

2. Display Space: Members will receive an equitable amount of display space - varies by medium

3. Rent: Pay $105.00/month by the first of each month.

4. Commission: A 18% commission fee on sales is charged, with members receiving 82% of their sales.

5. Teaching: Classes can be offered in the Gallery at a commission rate of 22%: member-instructor retains 78%.

6. Gallery Staffing: All members must work 7 hours per month staffing the Gallery.

7. Committees: Participate in committees like maintenance, jury, curation, marketing, board, point of sale, special events or staffing requiring 6-12 hours/month.

8. Meetings: Attend monthly meetings, which take place via zoom or occasionally in person.

9. To Apply: Submit a complete application online with necessary documents and a $25 application fee. Include high-quality images of artwork in jpeg format, a resume, artist statement

10. Jury reviews take place quarterly and applicants will be notified of the results via email and may be put on a waitlist until a space in their medium becomes available.

11. Accepted applicants will be sent a full membership agreement to be a participating member, with the gallery providing space, handling sales tax, and promoting artists.
