Debbie Englund

"The essence of my work is organic in form and often references botanicals. Pieces are influenced by imagery in nature and created using elements from the earth. I imagine the rigidity of man made structures blending in a new way with the organic forms and lines of the natural world."

Debbie creates functional pottery and ceramic sculpture in her studio in Chapel Hill and provides instruction in Ceramic Design and Pottery at Central Carolina Community College and Chatham Clay Studio in Pittsboro.
